There is something so special about holding your photos in your hands. Screens are great, but physical products bring your images to life in a completely different way. It’s exactly why I always say that albums are the best gifts. They feel personal. They feel thoughtful. And they feel lasting in a way digital files simply can’t match.

These images are from one of my sample studio albums, and they show just how much variety and emotion an album can hold.
From soft morning light on the sofa, to denim jackets and cowboy boots on the floor, to lace slipping just right in the mirror. The whole set tells a story. And when you encapsulate that in an album, you’re wrapping it all up so perfectly. All the story becomes cohesive when it’s printed, bound, and meant to be seen.
If you’ve been curious about the process of ordering an heirloom product, here’s what it looks like with me. It’s simple and actually really fun.

First, we shoot your session. We have the best day, and you walk away feeling confident and inspired. But the fun is just beginning.
Once everything is captured, you’ll get your proofing gallery within seven to ten days. This is where you choose your favorite images for the album. Think of it like curating your own little art book.
Next, you’ll come by the studio, and we’ll look at the album layout together. We sip coffee, flip through the spreads, and make any tweaks you want. This is also when you pick your cover material, colors, and custom embossing. There are so many pretty options, and it’s one of my favorite parts because it makes the album feel truly yours.

After that, your album is sent to a Canadian, female owned and operated company that puts so much care into every piece they produce.
This is something that is really important to me as a fellow Canadian, female owned business! (Just another reason that these albums are the best gifts)
And then, when it’s ready, you get to pick it up wrapped and ready to gift! Whether you’re gifting to yourself or a partner, something about holding tangible proof about how amazing you are… it changes things. You see yourself differently. And you’re giving such a unique, timeless and thoughtful gift to someone who loves you the most. Win-win.
Prints and digitals are meaningful, don’t get me wrong. But albums hold something deeper. They tell a full story. They last. And honestly, that’s why albums are the best gifts.
