There is something special about The Wedding Fair in Edmonton that you cannot quite capture through photos alone. It is the energy in the room, the conversations that unfold naturally, and the way excitement builds when couples begin imagining their wedding day coming together in tangible ways.
Attending the Edmonton show recently was such a meaningful experience, and I am so excited to be heading into The Wedding Fair in Calgary next month.
From the moment the doors opened, the space felt full of warmth and curiosity. Brides, partners, moms, mothers-in-law, and best friends stopped by the booth to chat, ask questions, and share pieces of their stories. So many conversations centered around body positivity, confidence, and what it truly means to feel comfortable and seen in front of the camera. Those moments are always the heart of why I do this work.

The booth itself reflected the experience I aim to create. Soft lighting, curated albums, and framed artwork allowed visitors to slow down and explore at their own pace. The images on display featured relaxed, natural posing, and confident moments. It was less about perfection and more about connection. Seeing people flip through albums, linger over prints, and ask thoughtful questions was incredibly affirming.
The Wedding Fair Experience Through a Photographer’s Lens
This year’s event welcomed over 2,790 guests, making it one of the most successful fairs yet. Nearly 400 people entered the session giveaway, which speaks volumes about the openness and trust in the room. I also had the privilege of photographing the event itself, including the fashion show. Watching so many talented vendors come together, from bridal designers to menswear stylists, was inspiring and energizing.

Above all, this experience left me feeling deeply grateful. Grateful for the support, the conversations, and the community that shows up with open hearts. Whether you stopped by to say hello, entered the giveaway, or simply took a moment to look through the artwork, thank you.
