Well hello! I'm Carlee. In honour of this being my very first blog post ever (wow!) I thought I could give you a bit of insight of who the heck I am!
I am currently a NAIT student finishing up my last couple months in the Photography Technologies program. In other words, I will be graduating in April, and I'll be honest, I am internally freaking out about stepping foot in the real world, but also EXTREMELY excited to be fulfilling my dreams of becoming a photographer.
Now, I suppose you're wondering why exactly I am a photographer...well, it all started in 2010 with a point and shoot Canon camera and a 14 year old girl wanting to be "oh so Tumblr". I loved taking photos of friends, capturing memories, pretending to be a National Geographic photographer, and editing my photos on Pic Monkey. I can promise you....I have improved since then. The photography program at NAIT has taught me so much about not only how to properly take good photos, but it has also taught me a lot about myself. Sounds crazy, but I find the art of photography allows me to truly look at the world in a different way...a unique way.
Although I have a distinct artsy side to myself, I do also have a sporty side. I have been playing softball for about 13 years at a very high level playing in international tournaments, traveling the world, and dedicating many, many hours of my life to training, competing, and even coaching softball.
Since I am such a sports fanatic, it comes at no surprise I LOVE taking photos of athletes. Capturing the story behind each sporty individual is my goal as a photographer. Every athlete has a story, and I really enjoy capturing who they're all about.
I'll leave it at that for now, I hope you enjoy surfing my brand new website! Feel free to find me on Facebook and Instagram too!
Bye for now,
